We have a new member to report! This handsome devil has been quite an adventure for us at Panama Andy's. At the request of a donor, we began to search for a specific dog spotted near Playa Blanca. Armed with a photo, we found this little guy. Problem was, he wasn't the doggie we were looking for, as apparently that dog had a twin! We took this fellow to the rescue and before we knew it, he found a way to escape. A few weeks went by before several rescuers in the area reported seeing him in Coronado, and he appeared to be in distress. A rescue was coordinated late at night and he was brought in to Happy Pets for an evaluation. Thanks to Dot and Sue Joyce, Michel Trouillat, Leslie Riera and Sheila Robbins for their efforts in this rescue!

He's now safe and happy at Panama Andy's and in need of a name. The rescuers apparently had been calling him several different names, so we decided to have our friend and Andy's Club member, Bernadette Peters, who is world renowned in her advocacy for animals, and dogs in particular, to virtually adopt him and give him his official name. She saw a photo and sent us this note, "He looks like a "Barnaby," which is one of the characters in Hello Dolly, the show I am on right now. Let's call him Barnaby."
