Tom and Kim have both worked in the film business for over 20 years and share a passion for animal rescue in their spare time. They started the Gorgona rescue in 2017 and opened a Brooklyn New York chapter, where they currently live, in 2020.
Our Panama Team
Patricia Salas
Introducing Patricia Salas, our head of operations in Panama.
Patricia Salas is a Retiree based in Miami, originally from Peru, who has worked in the Banking Industry for 24 years. She is passionate about Animals and Visual Arts, and has been an Animal Lover since her early memories.
For almost a decade, she has worked independently to feed and provide shelter to 4 Colonies of Cats in her Town in Florida, and feeding and nurturing dogs in the beach area of Gorgona.
She is excited to team up with Tom and Kim, who share the same passion and compassion towards the animals, and hopes to make a significant impact in aiding the stray dogs in the area.
Elaine
Elaine is living at our sanctuary and is in charge of the daily care of the dogs. Feeding, giving medication, cleaning, She loves these dogs, and gives them precious individual attention and love. We couldn't do this without her!!
